Cost of Studying in New Zealand

The tuition fee and the living expenses are what a student has to primarily incur. The affordability of the expenses must be carefully considered.

Tuition fees

The fees below reflect the average cost of tuition fees per year for undergraduate and postgraduate international students studying in the UK.

Cost of living

The government estimated living expenses per year is Inside London – £1,265 for each month of the course, up to a maximum of 9 months
Outside London and elsewhere in the UK – £1,015 for each month of the course, up to a Maximum of 9 months.

Other expenses

  • UK Student Visa Cost – The cost of a (Tier 4 General) UK student visa is £348, with an additional £348 fee per person for any dependents
  • Health insurance – All non-EEA nationals, coming to live in the UK for more than six months are required to pay a ‘health surcharge’ in order to gain access to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). The health surcharge is £300 per year for students and is payable at the same time as you pay your visa fees, for the full length of the visa.
